Subject: Authorization to Construct a Focused Groundwater Model for the Gateway
Basin in Yucaipa
Recommendation: That the Board of Directors approves a contract with Geoscience for a
sum not to exceed $35,320 for the preparation of a groundwater model
for the Gateway Basin.
The Yucaipa Valley Water District has been working together with the USGS to determine travel
times associated with recharge of the water at the Wilson Creek Spreading Basins. The Wilson
Creek Spreading Basins are located within the boundary of the Gateway Groundwater Basin.
