Subject: Consideration of Resolution No. 2017-13 Supporting the Construction of
Water Purification and Sustainable Water Supply Enhancements at the
Yucaipa Valley Regional Water Filtration Facility and the Wochholz Regional
Water Recycling Facility as an Expansion of the Yucaipa Valley Regional
Water Supply Renewal Project
Recommendation: That the Board adopts Resolution No. 2017-13.
Prolonged, severe, and reoccurring droughts continue to make high quality water supplies
increasingly scarce in the Southwest. The Yucaipa Valley Water District recognized this trend
nearly two decades ago and embarked on a series of capital improvement projects that integrated
drinking water, recycled water, sewer treatment, and brine disposal facilities to create an
exceptionally pure and renewable water resource.
