Subject: Consideration to Purchase District Fleet Vehicles
Recommendation: That the Board authorize the General Manager to purchase District fleet
the vehicles.
The vehicles in the District’s fleet have recently been assessed during the process of the Vehicle
and Equipment Health Report discussed at the Board Workshop on March 13, 2018 [WM 18-
095]. The recent assessment identified the need to purchase a number of light duty vehicles,
heavy-duty vehicles and equipment. The heavy-duty vehicles and equipment purchases will be
discussed at a future workshop.
The table below outlines the vehicles that are being considered for purchase. Quotes for the
vehicles have been acquired and are attached. This group of vehicles has been selected based
on the District needs. Competitive models and manufactures were considered during the
selection process.
