Subject: Discussion of the Strategic Planning Process and the Establishment of Capital
Improvement Priorities
Over the past several decades, the Yucaipa Valley Water District has embarked on a series of
capital improvement projects that have created fully integrated of drinking water, recycled water,
sewer treatment, and brine disposal systems. The integration of these facilities has set the
Yucaipa Valley Water District on a course to achieve a long-term sustainable future for the
community.
In preparation for the next decade of projects, the Board of Directors of the Yucaipa Valley Water
District has developed a process to re-evaluate all capital improvement projects on an annual
basis to set and adjust priorities.
