I. Call to Order - 4:00 p.m.
II. Public Comments - General Manager Joseph Zoba recognized the members of the Board
of Directors and District staff in attendance. There were no public comments.
III. Staff Report - General Manager Joseph Zoba discussed the following items:
• The San Gorgonio Pass Water Alliance meeting will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday,

August 27 ;
• The Yucaipa Valley Regional Water Filtration Facility will be taken offline on October
1, 2014 as part of the lack of imported water supplies; and
• Articles have been included in the board packet discussing the 2014 Water Bond and
the over allocation of water resources in California
• A letter from the City of Yucaipa requesting an ad hoc committee was distributed.

A. Overview of California Drought Conditions and Related Regional Issues
[Workshop Memorandum No. 14-141] - General Manager Joseph Zoba provided
an overview of the current drought conditions and impacts.
B. Overview of California Water Use Estimates for 2010 [Workshop Memorandum
No. 14-142] - General Manager Joseph Zoba provided an overview of the recent
USGS report on water estimates for 2010.
C. Overview of the Latest Information from the Yucaipa Valley Subsurface and
Groundwater Investigation [Workshop Memorandum No. 14-143] - No report was
provided for the ongoing groundwater investigation study.
