Subject: Status Report on the Construction of a 24-Inch Recycled Water Mainline in 7

Place, Calimesa
The District staff has completed
the installation of approximately
300 linear feet of 24” ductile
th
iron pipe (DIP) in 7 Place
between County Line Road and
County Line Lane in the City of
Calimesa.
The purpose of this pipeline is
to extend the existing recycled
water mainline past the project
area of a future gas station that
is moving forward with their
project. District staff is
communicating with the City of
Calimesa, South Mesa Water,
and the developer of the gas
station to coordinate this
installation before the
construction of the gas station
begins. The District will retain
an easement for access,
maintenance, and repair.
This project is estimated to cost $65,000. Funding for this project will be from the Recycled Water
Fund, Infrastructure Reserves [GL Account #04-10311]. This project was not included in the
2018-19 budget, however, there is sufficient funding available in the reserve fund listed above.
