Subject: Status Report on the Geotechnical Investigation in the Vicinity of the Calimesa
Lake and Recharge Facility
As a part of the Calimesa Lakes project, the District has
contracted with Geoscience who will be conducting recharge
testing by discharging water into a constructed basin that will
measure 300 feet long and 75 feet wide. The testing is
scheduled to last 6-8 weeks and will utilize instrumentation that
is designed to accurately measure changes in moisture and
temperature at various depths in two separate locations.
At this point, both monitoring wells have been constructed and
tested. The grading equipment in onsite and should start as
soon as soil conditions allow. After the grading is complete, the
District will furnish and install the temporary supply piping.
