MEMORANDUM NO. 15-23

Subject: Discussion Regarding Task Order No. 8 with ALDA Inc. for On-
Call Engineering Services
Recommendation: That the Watermaster Committee approves Task Order No. 8 for
a sum not to exceed $20,000.00.
At the January 9, 2013 meeting the Watermaster Committee approved Task Order No.
4 with ALDA Inc. for On-Call Engineering Services for a sum not to exceed $20,000.00
(See Memorandum 13-03).
The approval of this task order has allowed ALDA Inc. to continue providing technical
support services to the Watermaster on an as-needed basis. Over the last 30+ months,
the following on-call services have been provided:
Task Description Cost to Complete
Development of Storage Application Forms $ 4,100.00
Preparation of a Recycled Water Regulations $ 2,850.00
Presentation
Assessment of Initial Groundwater Level Monitoring $11,770.00
Program and identification of new potential monitoring
sites
Evaluation of Morongo Band of Mission Indians Storage $ 3,170.00
Project
Total expenditures to date: $21,890.00
Considering the following:
Current budget under Task Order No. 4 has been exceeded by approximately
9.45 percent
Additional work is still required to continue evaluating the Morongo Band of
Mission Indians storage project
Technical Support Services will continue to be requested from Watermaster’s
Engineer on an as-needed basis
In light of this, it is recommended that Watermaster Committee approves Task Order
No. 8 (See Attached) for a sum not to exceed $20,000.00.
