Subject: Discussion Regarding the Use of Specific Percentages for Preparation of the
Monthly Unaudited Financial Reports
Each month, the unaudited financial statements are presented to the Board of Directors for
review. Within the unaudited statements is a percentage for estimating revenue and expenses to
determine if the District is trending as anticipated. These percentages were last updated in 2009.
Recently, staff reviewed the last three years of expenses, including year-end accruals. As a result
of this review, staff is recommending a change the monthly estimated revenue and expenses as
listed below.
