              The 2019 Membrane Technology Conference and Exposition were held in New Orleans, LA and during the
              Concluding Awards Ceremony, the following awards were presented on Thursday, February 28, 2019:

              MTC19 BEST PAPER AWARD:

              • James Vickers, P.E., Separation Processes, Inc., was presented with this year's Best Paper Award for his
                 Paper Presentation on: "Overcoming Compliance Challenges for RO Pathogen Removal Using
                 Conductivity Profiles"


              MTC19 BEST POSTER AWARD
              • Ruel Conn, P.E., J-U-B Engineers, Inc., was presented with this year's Best Poster Award for his Poster
                 Presentation on: "City of Post Falls, Idaho - Membrane Tertiary Treatment Pilot Study for Low-Phosphorus
                 and Reuse"


              MTC19 STUDENT BEST PAPER AWARD
              • Quantum Wei, MIT, was presented with this year's Student Best Paper Award for his Paper Presentation
                 on: "Batch Reverse Osmosis: Experimental Results, Model Validation, and Design Implications"
              • Carlyn Higgins, M.S., E.I., University of Central Florida, was presented with this year's Student Best Paper
                 Award for her Paper Presentation on: "Studying the Mass Transfer of 1,4-Dioxane in a Nanofiltration and
                 Reverse Osmosis Membrane Process"


              MTC19 STUDENT BEST POSTER AWARD
              • Hannah Ray, Arizona State University, was presented with this year's Student Best Poster Award for her
                 Poster Presentation on: "Urea Recovery from Fresh Urine by Forward Osmosis and Membrane Distillation"


             Formed in 1972, the American Membrane Technology Association (AMTA) is headquartered in Stuart, FL; this
             nonprofit scientific and educational association vision is solving water supply & quality issues through the
             widespread application of membrane technology. AMTA's mission is to promote, advocate and advance the
