Subject: Overview of the 2019 WateReuse Conference
On March 17, 2019, the District
staff attended the three-day
WateReuse conference and facility
tour of recycled water projects.
The conference was very well
attended and useful information
was gathered by the District staff.
From the conference, it is clear that
the District’s recycled water
program is further ahead than most
other recycled water programs in
the state. This is largely due to the
fact that the Yucaipa Valley Water
District was an early implementer of
our program back in the early
1990s, and that the District has the
institutional advantage of providing
both drinking water and sewer
service to the community. These
factors, plus a talented and
dedicated staff, will allow the
District to continue to lead the
industry in the future.
