Subject: Status Report on the Installation of the Advanced Metering Infrastructure System
Yucaipa Valley Water District was awarded a $1,000,000 WaterSMART: Water and Energy
Efficiency Grant on October 2, 2018 for the District’s Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI)
Project. On March 7, 2019, the District was notified the environmental compliance activities are
complete and the construction for the project may begin. The projected AMI project schedule is
depicted below. On April 10, 2019 the District participated in a call with the United States Bureau
of Reclamation to discuss the next steps, which required additional documentation which has
been completed and submitted.
