IV. Review and Approval of Meeting Minutes
A. Approval of Meeting Minutes of June 27, 2018 and August 9, 2018
Joseph Zoba discussed the changes to the minutes as recommended by Mike
Podegraz. David Armstrong moved to approve the meeting minutes.
Fermin Preciado seconded the motion.
The meeting minutes were approved by a unanimous vote of the board members.

V. Discussion Items
A. Status Report on the Sustainable Groundwater Management Act Grant Supporting
Work by the Yucaipa Sustainable Groundwater Management Agency
Aaron Jones reported that the Department of Water Resources is expected to
provide final approval of the scope and workplan for the grant.
Aaron Jones distributed spreadsheets that showed the grant from the Department
of Water Resources is expected to be distributed as follows:
USGS Yucaipa Basin Groundwater Model $359,280
Infiltration Testing $220,358
GSP Development $235,462
Total Grant $815,100
The Board of Directors discussed the use of grant funding to the San Bernardino
Valley Municipal Water District for the preparation of a groundwater model which
has been funded entirely by the San Bernardino Valley Municipal Water District
over the past several years.
After a brief discussion about this issue, Ray Casey moved to request the San
Bernardino Valley Municipal Water District to reconsider the allocation of grant
funds to reimburse the San Bernardino Valley Municipal Water District for the
United States Geological Survey groundwater model.
