The motion was approved unanimously.
Aaron Jones indicated that he would discuss this issue with General Manager
Doug Headrick of the San Bernardino Valley Municipal Water District.
B. Status Report on the Yucaipa Groundwater Model and Related Report by the
United States Geological Survey
Aaron Jones reported that the United States Geological Survey has made the
preliminary model available to the San Bernardino Valley Municipal Water District.
The final deliverables to the San Bernardino Valley Municipal Water District will
include the integrated groundwater flow model, an accompanying report, and a
report on the geologic framework of the study area and are scheduled to be
completed in June 2019.
C. Status Report on the Infiltration Testing Study for the Yucaipa Basin
Aaron Jones distributed a schedule showing the current progress of the infiltration
testing by Todd Groundwater. Aaron Jones stated that he would send preliminary
infiltration data for the study sites evaluated to date.
A draft report is scheduled to be provided during the week of October 15, 2018.
The draft report is expected to be included for review and discussion at the October
24, 2018 Yucaipa SGMA meeting.
D. Status Report on the Preparation of a Logo and Letterhead for the Yucaipa
Sustainable Groundwater Management Agency
Lori Askew requested comments on the conceptual logo designs distributed at the
Yucaipa Sustainable Groundwater Management Agency meeting held on June 27,
2018. Lori Askew requested this item be scheduled for further discussion at the
next meeting.
E. Discussion Regarding an Invitation for Todd Groundwater to Explain their Bid on
GSP Management Services
David Armstrong discussed the concept of scheduling a meeting with Todd
Groundwater to explain their cost proposal in greater detail and deleting discussion
item V.F. from the meeting agenda.
After a discussion about this issue, David Armstrong moved to have a
subcommittee of the Board of Directors meet with Todd Groundwater to discuss
their cost proposal.
Lori Askew seconded the motion.
After a lengthy discussion by the Board of Directors and other in attendance, David
Armstrong amended the motion to invite Todd Groundwater and Dudek back for
an additional interview with the Board of Directors.
