Subject: Consideration of Resolution No. 2014-12 Transferring Funds Within and
Between the Water, Sewer and Recycled Water Enterprise Funds for Fiscal
Year 2014
Recommendation: That the Board adopts Resolution No. 2014-12 as presented.
The Yucaipa Valley Water District has completed several water, sewer, recycled water, and brine
related capital improvement projects over the past several years. These projects involved grants
and loans from several different federal and state agencies. The District staff is prepared to initiate
the appropriate fund transfers between the water, sewer and recycled water enterprise funds to
complete and close these capital improvement projects.
The District staff recommends the approval of two fund transfers between restricted and
unrestricted funds from the water, sewer and recycled water enterprise funds consistent with the
nexus report allocation for facility capacity charges. The fund transfers will allocate portions of
the capital improvement projects to the specific facility capacity charge line items within each
enterprise.
Supporting documentation is summarized and attached to the proposed resolution. Additional
information is compiled for audit review for Fiscal Year 2014.
